We are delighted to announce that we have been named finalists in both the Teach Primary and Teach Secondary Awards 2023! The annual Teach Awards recognise the very best educational resources to support pupils from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.

• Our Dyslexia and Literacy Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Units have been shortlisted in the SEND category for the Teach Secondary Awards 2023.
• Our Developing Numeracy Skills in Learners with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Unit has been shortlisted in the Maths category for the Teach Primary Awards 2023.

Finalists were selected by a team of education professionals based on key criteria such as originality, accessibility and educational impact. The winners will be announced on 10 November 2023 and we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled! You can learn more about the awards here.

Specialist teacher training is much more than an understanding and management of dyslexia and literacy, diversity and inclusivity in learners. Qualified specialist teachers will have had access to a specific literacy programme.

These programmes will have provided a thorough training in the phonology and phonetics of the English language and a sound underpinning knowledge of language acquisition, morphology and syntax, semantics and the sociological dynamics of language. Knowledge that is informed by speech and language and communications therapies is built into comprehensive training courses that enable the practitioner to address the diverse literacy needs of any individual and provide appropriate remedial training. The Dyslexia Actional Literacy Programme (DALP) is one of these programmes.

We are excited to announce the migration of the Dyslexia Action CPD courses onto Campus Online, our new virtual learning platform.

Campus Online has been developed in collaboration with educational psychologists and technology experts, and features innovative tools and resources to enhance the learning experience. It provides a digital environment where tutors and learners can interact with each other, access learning materials, participate in group discussions, and engage in a variety of online learning activities such as quizzes, assignments, and assessments.  

This platform is specifically designed to make the experience of learning rewarding and collaborative, and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.
