We are thrilled to announce that our Level 5 CPD Unit – Dyslexia in Multilingual Settings has been shortlisted in the CPD category of the Teach Primary Awards!

We are delighted to receive recognition for the hard work and dedication of our team in developing a course that addresses the unique challenges faced by multilingual learners with dyslexia.

We eagerly await the announcements of the award in November, and are honoured to be among the finalists.

So what is Dyslexia in Multilingual Settings about?

This short online CPD Unit will allow you to effectively support bilingual and multilingual learners by evaluating whether a literacy-related difficulty exists. You’ll consider the learner’s cultural context, together with the impact this has on learning and progress, and gain valuable insight into the strategies to help them become more proficient in reading and writing.

By studying Dyslexia in Multilingual Settings, you will:

1. Recognise the learner’s cultural context and the impact this has on learning

2. Demonstrate ways that dyslexia can be identified in multilingual learners

3. Demonstrate how learning processes are affected by multilingualism and dyslexia

4. Identify the key components of effective support for multilingual learners with dyslexia.
