The Dyslexia Guild


The Dyslexia Guild is a professional body with open membership, which welcomes individuals with an interest in dyslexia. These may include those who have attended our training courses, other specialist teachers, psychologists, speech and language therapists, special needs teachers and classroom teachers in mainstream schools.

The aim of the Dyslexia Guild is to keep members up to date with developments in the field and to encourage networking/contact between members.

Membership of the Dyslexia Guild brings the following benefits:

  • Dyslexia Review: a copy of this professional journal focusing on current best practice and its link with research - 3 times a year.
  • Annual Symposium: a one-day conference on current practice and research, available to Dyslexia Guild members at a reduced rate. 10% discount on Dyslexia Action Shop Limited Brochure resources and on some courses.
  • 10% discount on Don Johnston Special Needs ICT resources.
  • 10% discount on LDA* resources.
  • Information on courses, publications and conferences.
  • Practising Certificate: The Dyslexia Guild is authorised to award Practising Certificates to suitably qualified teachers entitling them to carry out assessments and write reports in support of applications for Disabled Student Allowances. For further information please click here.

 

The Dyslexia Guild Group Membership

Available for schools, peripatetic services and other professional groups involved in the education of people with dyslexia. Group members receive two copies of Dyslexia Review and the reduced rate for up to three delegates at our Annual Symposium.

NB: Some of our publications are restricted to those qualified to use the Dyslexia Institute Literacy Programme.
