Margaret Rooms
Biography
Margaret was originally trained as a maths teacher but always worked in Special Needs. She completed the Diploma course in 1984 and taught in a special school for dyslexic students for nine years before joining Dyslexia Action in 1992. Margaret was the centre principle for London and Staines before assuming her present role in 1996.
Margaret has worked with all centres promoting the use of IT in Dyslexia Action lessons.
She has led important projects with a number of LEA's and worked with other organisations in the production of materials. A major responsibility has been the development of Units of Sound.
